We are pleased to invite you to the Congress on Historical Research, hosted by the Center for International Community Research (UTAMER), taking place on 19-21 December 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye. The congress will be held online.

This congress invites contributions that explore the intersections of culture, identity, and geography through diverse historical lenses. Topics include, but are not limited to: cultural history and its role in shaping social and political life; identity politics including national identities, religious identities, etc.; the historical construction and contestation of space, including geographical boundaries, borderlands, and local-global dynamics; interdisciplinary approaches connecting history with anthropology, sociology, political science, and related fields; the impact of migration, diaspora, and transnational exchanges on cultural and spatial identities; memory studies and the role of collective remembrance in shaping historical narratives.

The primary objective of this congress is to convene scholars from various fields within historical research, providing a platform to exchange knowledge and ideas. Additionally, we aim to enhance the awareness and engagement of young researchers in these interdisciplinary areas.

Please note that accepted abstracts will be included in the Symposium Proceedings Book with an ISBN. Full papers will be published in the Symposium Proceedings Full Text Book with an ISBN. Alternatively, authors may choose to submit their full papers to ESAR Journal or the Journal JOSE for peer review and possible publication, according to their preferences.
